Exit Realty Bend and Albany
I started my career in Albany, Oregon at Re/Max Integrity. I met some amazing people/friends whom i will work with throughout my career. When I chose to expand my business to Bend as well as Albany, i couldn’t imagine having the fees associated with two companies. I also wasn’t sure what my plan was, so I wanted to be as open as I could with my resources. I needed a company who had enough faith that I could close deals, so that it would be beneficial for them to sign up for all the MLS systems I needed to use for both areas. My best friend started this company with Jim, so I heard the best and worst about it. I went to many, many interviews before I chose Exit Realty. Most of them didn’t believe it was worth their money because I was such a new broker, but there was something about the appreciation and confidence that Exit had in me, that made me choose them. Jim signed up for all the MLS systems I’ve needed in my career and thus far, I’m sure I haven’t let him down. In a sense you can say I’m a “traveling broker.

Exit has this great sponsoring program that equalizes everyone. For example: I sponsor in Jane, I now make 10% of whatever the company makes off her. I do not take money from what she earns, but rather what the company earns.

Next example: if Jane sponsors in Jake, I DONOT make anything off Jake. Each person is their own sponsor of the person they bring in, it’s not a pyramid or sponsors and the sponsored.

Also, this doesn’t mean I am “in charge” of Jane, nor does it mean Jane is in charge of Jake. All this means that I told Jane how amazing Exit Realty is, so I asked her to give Jim a call and she ended up working for the company. For as long as Jane and I work for the company, I get 10% of whatever the company makes off her. If she continues to work for Exit and I retire, I make 7%. If I pass away and Jane still works for Exit Realty, my kids get 5% as my beneficiaries. All in all, amazing retirement plan!
There are no fees associated with Exit Realty, until you close a deal. They have an error and omissions fee, which is understandable in my book :) Exit has ended up being a great fit for me and each broker that works there has been incredibly laid back and very focused about customer service, not about impressing people.
Being a traveling broker, I work out of my home a lot, which has made my kids much happier and my family a lot more bonded. It goes to show that as long as you work like crazy to be a success in your career, it doesn’t matter the size of the company you work for.
